Hyssop Essential Oil

Hyssop is a small perennial native plant to Europe and the Mediterranean. It is mentioned in the Bible and is an ancient oil used for sprinkling in some of the sacrifices and purifications of the Jews.

Hyssop smells herbaceous, however, we are drawn to the specific farms and growing conditions that produce a hyssop essential that has a little bit of a minty note to them.

Therapeutic Properties - External Use Only

Antibacterial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, astringent, carminative, cicatrizant (promotes healing through the formation of scar tissue), digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, nervine, sedative, tonic, vermifuge, vulnerary. Avoid use in pregnancy, hypertension, epilepsy.
