Lemony, fresh-fruity odor (sweeter than lemongrass but less tenacious).  Used as a fragrance component in soaps, toiletries, perfume and as a flavoring agent.

Primarily used as a natural perfume fixative.  Therapeutic properties of the herb include; antidepressant, aphrodisiac, skin rejuvenation, relieve menstrual pain/cramps and help regulate the female reproductive system.  Do not use with alcohol or in pregnancy.


 

Spearmint (Organic)

 

Scientific Name:  Mentha spicata              

Country of Origin:  USA

Spearmint is often rectified or changed.  Terpenes can be removed from the oil by redistilling it.  This increases the minty scent.  Therefore, the oil is called first distillation, second distillation, terpenless, etc.   Unfortunately, the best smelling spearmint oils are rectified. 


 

Spruce (Hemlock Spruce)

 

Scientific Name:  Tsuga canadensis       

Country of Origin:  USA

Distillation Method:  Steam Distilled (Twigs and Needles)     

Safety:  A

 

This oil is used for room disinfectants, veterinarian liniment, muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, stress and anxiety.  The odor profile of Hemlock Spruce is soothing to the soul.


 

Tea Tree (Organic)

 

Scientific Name:  Melaeuca alternifolia       

Country of Origin:  Australia

Distillation Method:  Steam Distilled         

Safety:  A

 

This oil is only produced in Australia.  It has under gone extensive scientific testing.  It has bacterial, fungal, viral, and anti-inflammatory properties.  Tea tree was discovered by Captain Cook in 1770.  They used the leaves to make a refreshing tea.


 

Thyme, Red (Thymol Chemotype)

 

Scientific Name:  Thymus vulgaris ct thymol

Plant Part:  Aerial Parts

Extraction Process:  Steam Distillation

Country:  Spain

Safety:  Potential serious skin and mucous membrane irritant .  Not suitable for pregnant women,  young children or individuals with high blood pressure.  Only use a small amount diluted properly.


 

Thyme (Linalool Chemotype for children)

 

Scientific Name:  Thymus vulgaris ct linalool

Plant Part:  Aerial Parts

Extraction Process:  Steam Distillation

Country:  France

Safety:  Potential skin and mucous membrane irritant. This chemotype is less likely to cause skin irritation and is preferred for use with children and the elderly.  Only use a small amount diluted properly.

 


 

Ylang Ylang 3 Essential Oil

 

Scientific Name:  Cananga odorata            

Country of Origin:  Madagascar

Intense, sweet, floral-balsamic scent.  Known as the 'Flower of Flowers'.  Used in perfumes, soap and cosmetics.


 

Vetiver

 

Scientific Name:  Vetiveria zizanoides           

Country of Origin:  Haiti 

Distillation Method:  Steam Distilled            

Safety:  A

 

Woody, earthy, smoky scent.  Fixative and fragrance ingredient in soaps, cosmetics and perfumes.
